The reduction of human development gap in origin and new regency in Eastern Indonesia

Inequality still becomes popular issue in the establishment of developing countries. Aside from income inequality, human development inequality is considered as an interesting topic for further study, terms resuming solution. The purpose this study specific identifying gap between origin and new regencies Eastern Indonesia well determinant. This uses a positivist perspective with deductive approach. Secondary data cross-section types used covers cities Indonesia. econometrics methodology using regression analysis dummy variable. results showed there were differences index regency lower than regency. support Myrdal’s Theory, which explains disparities among regions due to significant backwash effects. Fiscal decentralization has role reducing regencies, yet insignificant economic growth. Poverty lowers impact on increasing but does not occur regencies.JEL Classification H30; I32; O15
